Gotion High-tech 5C 'G-Engraved' Battery Installed and Delivered

The application of ultra-fast charging batteries is witnessing new market progress. Recently, Gotion High-Tech announced on its interactive platform that its G-Engraved battery has been installed and is now in mass delivery. Launched in May this year, the G-Engraved battery is a 5C ultra-fast charging battery that supports multiple material systems, including lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese iron phosphate, and ternary materials, meeting the needs of full-scenario applications for pure electric and range-extended hybrid vehicles.

The G-Engraved battery excels in energy density, achieving 190 Wh/kg for lithium iron batteries and 255 Wh/kg for ternary batteries, while also maintaining 5C fast charging capability. In the new energy passenger vehicle market, the G-Engraved lithium iron battery pack has a maximum capacity exceeding 75 kWh, enabling a range of over 600 km, while the ternary battery pack exceeds 100 kWh, allowing for over 800 km of range. The installation and mass delivery of the G-Engraved battery make Gotion High-Tech one of the first power battery companies in the industry to achieve mass production of 5C ultra-fast charging batteries.

Additionally, in August, Gotion High-Tech released the latest generation of the G-Engraved ultra-fast hybrid heavy-duty truck standard box product aimed at the commercial vehicle market, capable of meeting the needs of various applications including heavy trucks, loaders, mining trucks, buses, concrete mixers, excavators, and cranes. This marks a breakthrough in ultra-fast charging technology, continually expanding the application scenarios of the G-Engraved battery.

The G-Engraved hybrid heavy-duty truck standard box, equipped with G-Engraved cells, can achieve 80% charge in just 9.8 minutes and operate normally at -35°C, with a range of 1100-1300 km. It supports 4C/12C charge and discharge, addressing the pain points of long charging times and low operational efficiency for new energy heavy-duty trucks. Moreover, the G-Engraved hybrid heavy-duty truck standard box ensures normal vehicle operation in severe cold conditions, broadening the operational boundaries for the logistics industry.

This year, the commercialization of high-performance batteries represented by ultra-fast charging has accelerated, with mainstream battery companies such as CATL, CMB, Honeycomb Energy, EVE Energy, Xinwangda, Aulton, and Juwang Technology all introducing fast-charging battery solutions, advancing from 4C to 6C product layouts. At the same time, the demand for ultra-fast charging performance in power batteries is transitioning from the passenger vehicle market to the commercial vehicle market.
